Tango – Ecstasy and Freedom in the Play of Steps
A performance of music and dance featuring Marcus Freitag and Regina Bechthold, accompanied by Julia Jesch (violin) and Tis Marang (guitar)
To mark the finissage of the current exhibition, the Stiftung Ahlers Pro Arte invites guests to a special evening where tango dance, live music, and art come together.
The renowned tango dancer Marcus Freitag, together with his dance partner Regina Bechthold, presents a performance accompanied by the music of the ensemble Mirando al Sur, featuring Julia Jesch on violin and Tis Marang on guitar.
Tango thrives on a dynamic tension that also shapes the exhibition: the interplay between devotion and independence. Here, ecstasy reveals itself in the conscious surrender to the moment.
Bring the exhibition to a close with a sensual experience in which dance and music take center stage alike. With its distinctive tango flair, the ensemble creates an atmosphere that complements and deepens the exhibition’s theme in a unique way.
